Tucked within a tranquil rural orchard, this project is more than a renovation - it’s a home reborn. Once a charming Spanish-style estate, it had stood quietly for decades, its character intact but its spirit dimmed. When the owners purchased the property, they envisioned a sanctuary that would honour the past, embrace the present, and support a life slowed down, savoured, and intentional.

The moment they first stepped inside, however, was transformative. As they walked through the home and caught their first glimpse of the views, they were sold. The vibrant, ever-changing landscape outside - the living artwork of seasonal colour and movement was undeniable. From that instant, the potential of the home was clear: this was a place where life could unfold beautifully, framed by the orchard and bathed in sunlight.

The original home was solid, yet tired. Rooms felt disconnected, sunlight struggled to reach the heart of the house, and the orchard was largely hidden from view. The brief was simple in words but profound in feeling: preserve the soul of the home, and open it to living, laughter, and quiet reflection.

Our approach was gentle yet transformative. Floor levels were reimagined, walls removed, and spaces opened to invite light and life in. Every corner was carefully considered to enhance connection - to the land, to the home, and to one another. Modern comforts were woven seamlessly into the fabric of the house: efficient heating, upgraded insulation, and new joinery that frames the orchard like living art. Even small details - a warm outdoor fire, hand-selected finishes - were chosen to create warmth that extends beyond walls, nurturing both body and spirit.

Today, the home breathes. Sunlight dances across open-plan living areas, views stretch from room to room, and every space feels purposeful yet effortless. Indoors and outdoors flow together, creating a sanctuary for reflection, family gatherings, and moments that linger long after the sun sets.
